Missing Numerals In Subtraction

To find the missing numeral in subtraction we try all the combinations to reach the desired result

For example let us solve the question

The difference 3 can be formed by the following combinations

we know that

3 - 0 = 3

4 - 1 = 3

5 - 2 = 3

6 - 3 = 3

7 - 4 = 3

8 - 5 = 3

9 - 6 = 3

The figure below shows the combination  5 -2 = 3

There is 5 stick for the first digit 5 and 2 sticks are crossed for the second digit 2

Counting the sticks together we get 3 sticks.

Hence the missing number in this case are 5 and 2

Similarly we can show the other combinations.
